From Protest to Participation At our April 15 rally, we released an action plan to get out the CONSERVATIVE vote this year. We're calling it FROM PROTEST TO PARTICIPATION and we are asking everyone to step up and own their precinct. We have a Precinct Kit with everything you need to know to do just that. The purpose of the precinct kit plan is to methodically go through their precinct to reach conservative households to get them to vote in November. We have several teams led by a precinct chair, and some others being led by a team where there is no chair. Either way, the plan works the same. Essentially, we're asking the teams to do three targeted walks in the precinct to capture information on We include a survey to help identify conservative voters. If the respondent's replies sound conservative, then we offer them some helpful information and contact information for the team. If not, we thank them and move on. Near early voting for November, we call through the list of those people we reached to remind them to vote. That's really all there is to it, but we need ALL HANDS ON DECK! If you're ready to make a difference for November, let us know, and we'll send you all the packet details and any people in your precinct we might have identified from our lists that could help you. SIGNING OF THE CONTRACT FROM AMERICA The Contract from America is a grassroots-generated, crowd-sourced, bottom-up call for real economic conservative and good governance reform in Congress. The Contract from America initiative was developed within the decentralized tea party and 912 movements. Ryan Hecker, a Houston Tea Party Society activist, developed the concept of creating a grassroots-generated call for reform prior to the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Tea Party rallies.
